Our Leadership
President

Simpa Baiye
Simpa Baiye serves as President of Malibu Life USA and is responsible for executing the company’s retail growth strategy and driving profitability.
Simpa has over 25 years of experience in the US insurance industry. He recently served in a dual role as founding president of TruSpire US and Bermuda while holding the position of chief actuary at Mutual of America Financial Group from 2019 through 2026. Simpa also held prior advisory roles at PwC where he advised private-capital firms on insurance mergers and acquisitions. He was previously responsible for the expansion of the fixed indexed annuity business at Corebridge Financial and began his career as an actuary at the CIGNA Group.
Simpa is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a CFA charterholder, holds an Executive MBA (with Dean's Honors) from Columbia University, a master's degree in actuarial science from the University of Waterloo, and a bachelor's degree in actuarial science from the University of Lagos.
Simpa has been a leader and volunteer in various non-profit organizations including the Society of Actuaries and the Prison Fellowship. He is a member of the finance committee at Trinity Church Greenwich.
Chief Financial Officer

Ashwin Amladi
Ashwin Amladi serves as Chief Financial Officer, and is responsible for Capital Management, Financial Reporting, Tax, Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury and Investments oversight. Ashwin brings more than 30 years of experience to Malibu Life USA.
Prior to joining Malibu Life USA, Ashwin was Interim CFO at two other life/annuity startups. He has previously held senior finance leadership roles in the insurance industry at Prudential Financial, Allianz Group (US, Japan, Singapore) and Manulife.
Ashwin holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Rhode Island, a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Bangalore University, and is also a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer

Doug Morrin
Doug Morrin serves as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Malibu Life USA, bringing extensive experience from Prudential Financial where he served as chief legal officer of the annuities division, among other leadership roles. He also has in-house legal experience at MassMutual and started his legal career at two AMLaw 100 law firms.
He oversees governance, compliance, and legal matters across the company, supporting disciplined and compliant growth.
Doug holds a JD from Boston College Law School and is a graduate of Duke University.
Chief Operations Officer

Andy Ouimet
Andy Ouimet serves as Chief Operations Officer and head of Information Technology. In his role, Andy has oversight of all policyholder administration and technology.
Prior to joining Malibu Life USA, Andy was a consultant with the Davies Group. For the majority of his career, Andy specialized in growth or business turnaround leadership for companies and key business functions covering the full life-cycle of customer experience for Life, Annuity, Health and P&C Insurance companies. His prior experience makes him particularly well suited to ensuring Malibu Life USA’s operations and IT services and support are well aligned and integrated into every functional area necessary to deliver an exceptional customer experience. He has also held leadership roles in venture capital, technology, and aerospace industries.
Andy is a graduate of the US Air Force Academy and holds an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
Chief Product Officer

Paz Rulli
As Chief Product Officer, Paz Rulli leads product lifecycle management, including product design, pricing, administrative implementation, and ongoing product management.
Paz brings 30 years of actuarial, risk management, and product expertise, with deep experience working with distribution and marketing teams to position products effectively in the marketplace. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Annuities Products at Northwestern Mutual; he also previously led Product, Pricing and Competitive Intelligence at Kuvare Holdings and held senior actuarial roles at Transamerica and Allstate Life.
Paz is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in actuarial science from the University of Iowa.
Chief Risk Officer

Sungho Lee
Sungho Lee serves as Chief Risk Officer and oversees the company’s enterprise risk management and hedging function.
Prior to Malibu Life USA, Sungho served as Vice President, Asset-Liability Management and ERM at Mutual of America/TruSpire. He also served as VP, Global ALM at RGA and held various actuarial and risk management roles at Corebridge Financial, ING (Voya Financial), and JP Morgan Chase.
Sungho holds a master’s degree in applied mathematics from the University of Illinois and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science from SUNY Albany. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, Financial Risk Manager, and Fellow of the Life Management Institute.

Todd Shriber
Todd Shriber is the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Malibu Life Holdings Limited. Mr. Shriber brings more than 25 years of financial services leadership experience, with a track record of leading scaled businesses, creating and executing complex strategies, and driving profitable growth in regulated environments. Prior to Malibu Life, Mr. Shriber spent 14 years at Prudential Financial, where he served as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Strategy for the firm's Global Retirement and Insurance businesses — a portfolio representing more than $40 billion in annual sales across the United States, Japan, Brazil, and other international markets.
Prior to Prudential, Mr. Shriber spent 11 years at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and Citigroup Smith Barney, most recently as Managing Director and Business Head of Insurance & Annuities. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the firm's Strategic Change practice, advising clients on strategy and large-scale transformation.
Mr. Shriber holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University. He is a CFA charterholder.

Dimitri Goulandris
Dimitri Goulandris set up and runs the Cycladic Group, an investor in and creator of businesses. Founded in 2002 to invest capital on behalf of his family and other investors, Cycladic has invested in over 60 businesses across the world and founded eight in Europe, the US, India, Africa and Latin America. Cycladic works closely with its investee partners to help them develop and achieve ambitious goals. In addition to founding the business, Mr. Goulandris is also an active board member and investor in a number of businesses. In this capacity, he chairs several exciting emerging companies, including Plain English Finance Limited, Anemoi Marine Technologies and Talk Education, where Cycladic is typically the largest and most-active non-founder investor. He also holds significant stakes in a number of small public companies where he can be an influential and active shareholder. He previously set up and ran the European operations of the private equity firm, Whitney & Company, and spent eight years at Morgan Stanley in its private equity group, structuring derivative products and executing mergers and acquisitions both in New York and in London.

Josh Targoff
Josh Targoff joined Third Point in 2008 where he currently serves as President. Prior to joining Third Point, Mr. Targoff was the General Counsel of the Investment Banking Division of Jefferies & Company, Inc. from 2003 to 2008. Prior to joining Jefferies & Company, Inc., Mr. Targoff spent seven years doing Mergers and Acquisitions transactional work at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP from 1996 to 2003. Mr. Targoff earned a JD from Yale Law School and a BA from Brown University.

Robert Hou
Robert Hou is the Head of Reinsurance of Malibu Life Re. Mr. Hou is a Managing Director at Third Point and serves as its Head of Insurance Solutions. Mr. Hou’s focus is on strategic initiatives, including the launch and ongoing management of Malibu and other liability-driven platforms. Additionally, Mr. Hou develops and manages the asset portfolio allocations for these strategies and works closely with the credit teams to structure and originate investments. Prior to joining Third Point, Mr. Hou was a portfolio manager at Blackstone in the Insurance Solutions business where he worked on the acquisition and portfolio rotation of acquired blocks and operating companies. He previously helped on the initial launch of Blackstone Insurance Solutions, was a member of the Investment Review, Alternative Investments and Co-Investment Committees, launched the Insurance Dedicated Fund platform and implemented a multi-asset risk management framework for the Tactical Opportunities Funds.
Mr. Hou’s background includes FIG Investment Banking and Corporate Development at BlackRock, Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch. He holds a BA in Economics from Stanford University.
